This folding vase is made of ceramic and rubber.

The vase has two versions -  one open that can contain flowers, and the second which leaves the vase closed when empty.

The vase consists of three parts. Similar to a standard vase - the lower third of the vase can contain water, and the two upperones can open or either fold when empty.
